American University of Technology is conditionally licensed by the Board of Regents of the State of Louisiana. The conditional license is for three years and does not constitute accreditation, guarantee the transferability of credit, nor signify that programs are certifiable by any professional agency or organization.
The University plans to seek accreditation with recognized accrediting bodies over the next years. Accreditation is an optional step that attests the quality of the institution by a non-governmental third-party agency and enables the institution to have access to the student Federal Financial Aid (Title IV).
If you consider transferring credits from American University of Technology to another institution, please contact the target institution in advance and ask if they would accept the transfer of credits. Similarly, the ability of a degree, certificate, diploma, or other academic credential earned at American University of Technology to satisfy an admission requirement of another institution is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
